Marriage Course

We’re pleased to be running another 8 session Marriage Course.

The course is designed as a kind of ‘MOT’ for marriages to help strengthen foundations and build intimacy for couples who are already married. The course will take place in the Coffee Shop, and will be  fortnightly on Friday evenings starting 13th April.  It will be run by Olly and Tamara McGregor, with input from other couples.

Church Weekend 2018

The Church weekend is a fantastic time of fun, food and fellowship at St Michael’s.

The weekend will be a mix of good food, good company, good teaching and good fun, all together as a church family.

The sessions we spend together will be a mixture of worship, prayer and learning together on the theme of “Called to Share”

We welcome Philip Jinadu from Metro Church in Bristol to lead the main sessions, Nick Jackson from “Powerpack” will lead children up to year 6, and Andrew Palmer, from Upcott who will lead Years 7-10.

We also welcome Colse Leung who will be helping lead and facilitate worship.

All food on the Saturday is included. The Church weekend is for everyone at St Michael’s, and all ages are welcome, whether you come alone, part of
a group or as a family. We’d love you to come!

Alternative Service for Mothering Sunday Weekend

This service is for those who might normally avoid church on Mothering Sunday.  It will offer a special place for anyone (women or men) who finds Mothering Sunday difficult, whatever your story.

It may be you’re grieving the loss of a mother, the loss of a child, or baby through miscarriage.

It may be you are struggling with a relationship with a mother that is difficult, or struggling with infertility or childlessness, singleness or not being able to create the shape of a family your heart has desired.

This will be an informal gathering, using liturgy, stories and poems to acknowledge the bittersweet emotions surrounding Mothering Sunday, offering a space both to grieve and to invite the God who loves us into our stories of struggle.
