Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, and to mark this we are holding a special service.
Come along to the Church for a 7.30pm start.
It will be a reflective service and will include the opportunity to be marked with ash in the sign of the cross as a sign of pentitence and mortality.

The calculation of the forty days of Lent has varied considerably in Christian history. It is now usual in the West to count them continuously to the end of Holy Week (not including Sundays), so Lent begins on the sixth Wednesday before Easter – Ash Wednesday
