Rhythms of Grace is a monthly gathering at St Michael’s, which provides a quiet time and place where people can reflect, meditate on God’s word, come close to God and listen to His voice.
This month we are in the the Old School Rooms, rather than the Church building. We are bringing in a Labyrinth, an ancient prayer tool, which on first sight resembles a maze, but is in fact one single path wrapped around itself, which leads into the centre and then out again. The process can be divided into 3 phases of prayer – initially walking towards God, shedding all that is keeping you from union with Him, secondly symbolising union with Him in the centre and thirdly as you exit from the centre, going back with God into the world. The labyrinth is on canvas, which will be laid on the floor, so shoes should not be worn, therefore please bring a pair of socks unless you wish to walk barefoot. All are welcome.
