The team are back to cook a delicious cooked breakfast for us, now cooked in the new kitchen in St Michael’s Centre.
We will be gathering in the auditorium to eat together, followed by a talk. Each month we will have a different speaker on a range of topics.
This month we welcome Samantha (Sam) Chandler from the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals, as our guest speaker. Sam is a priest in the Church of England in her second year of curacy in North Hampshire. She has worked in animal welfare for over 30 years and has been Secretary of the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals since 1996. The Charity was founded in 1970 by a group of clergy and lay Christians who felt that the welfare of animals was something that should be on the agenda of the Church.
She will be speaking about how animals have enriched her life and how compassion for animals and their welfare has influenced her Christian walk.
