Stoke Gifford Community Library

Community libraries are run by local voluntary groups with the support of South Gloucestershire Council who provide stock and advice.

They are linked to the library network which means you can use the South Gloucestershire library membership card to access these services.

A community library is situated on the mezzanine above the Old School Rooms Coffee Shop, and is open on alternative Tuesdays and Thursdays

What’s available?

A changing collection of adults and children’s books, large print, spoken word and DVDs.

Full reservation and collection facilities are available – so if there’s something you’d like to read that isn’t in stock, then you can order it in!

South Gloucestershire Community Library

We are delighted to announce that South Gloucestershires fortnightly community library service will be relocating to the Old School Rooms.

Currently provided from a mobile van, it will move to the mezzanine library space above the Coffee Shop.

This community resource supports our vision of Living to make a difference, by being a Christian heart at the centre of the Community.

The first community library session will be on Tuesday 10th October, from 2pm until 4pm.

On behalf of St Michael’s, we are looking to recruit a couple of assistants to help for 2 hours once every 6 weeks or so.

Could this be a way for you to get involved in serving the community?

ATraining session being held on Thursday 21st September 9.30am until 11.30am.  Please get in touch if you’d like to get involved.
