Finance and Budget Update
During 2016, St Michael’s staff and volunteers have been touching more people for God than ever before.
There has been significant expansion in primary school work, with the “Open the Book” initiative
In Youth work with weekly outreach, discipleship and mentoring activities for the community and local secondary schools
Outreach in Cheswick
Over-65’s ministry
Osbourne Court
Ministry amongst parents and toddlers
Coffee Shop
Pre-School & Nursery
and much much more.
However, this growth requires practical support to make it happen, whilst ensuring we continue to be operationally compliant with a number of regulations that govern charities and employers.
To that end, the engagement of a new Director of Operations is seen by the PCC as an essential part of supporting our growth and service to the church and community.
With growth in ministry, comes growth in financial support.
Please would every member of St Michael’s prayerfully consider either (i) starting to give regularly if you have not been doing so before (ii) increase your regular giving if at all possible or (iii) make a one-off lump sum donation if that is more practical for you.
Thank you for being part of St Michael’s and your sacrificial giving to God’s work in Stoke Gifford.
