Engagement eventsSome of the guests who attended our first engagement event, hosted by Bishop Mike, are visiting the site in April to find out how they can be more involved. The second engagement event is planned for Friday 17th May. We will be inviting Jack Lopresti (our local MP) and the CEOs and managing directors of major local business. Please pray for continued success.
Pre-building work
About 100 tons of the building stone from the previously demolished barns is being reclaimed by Patchway Building Supplies, who are making a significant financial contribution to the HOTC project. The owner said “I feel so privileged to be a part of this Heart of the Community project, which is providing community facilities”.
Ready to go!
All the pre-planning conditions of the development have now been satisfied and we have received a release letter from South Glos Planning Dept. The final list of six preferred contractors has now been agreed and tenders will be going out in early April. Please pray that we will select the one most suitable for the project and for the church’s mission.
