At St Michael’s we host several events each week, month or quarter focused on helping the older members of our congregation to come together in friendship, worship and safety.
Below you will find details of each event, when and where it is held, along with details of how your can join or sign up.

We had a fantastic a ‘Day at the seaside’ themed event at St Michael’s Centre on Thursday 18 July 2024

It was a fun-filled day which included wide range of activities and good food, all designed to help us replicate a Day at the Seaside

A roast lunch or afternoon tea, a glass of wine or cup of tea, good conversation and a chance to meet new people from the local area.

Everyone is welcome, whether or not they come to church.  On some occasions, there is live music, and sometimes the chance to sing along as well.

The next events for Over 65's Community Lunch are:

Osbourne Court is the modern residential care home that sits right next door to the St Michael’s Centre on North Road in Stoke Gifford.

Once a month, on a Sunday afternoon, we gather there with residents, their families and carers for a simple act of worship together. Our service includes hymns, testimony, a short talk and some prayers.

We also offer a simple communion service at Osbourne Court on a Thursday morning – usually the second Thursday of the month at 11.00am.

Details of particular dates and times will be made available to residents in the care home.

Link Club meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month between 2pm and 3.45pm in St Michael’s Centre

If you enjoy meeting and making friends why not come along? It’s a friendly gathering for all ladies and gentlemen over retirement age.

We either have a speaker or an activity with plenty of time to chat over refreshments.
