Saturday Breakfast

Why not come along, eat breakfast with others in a relaxed and friendly setting, and listen to an interesting and inspiring talk?

We will be gathering in the auditorium to eat together, followed by a talk. 

Each month we have a different speaker on a range of topics. 

This month we are joined by Joseph Wu who is part of the Holy Trinity Stapleton Grafting team, and will speak about his experiences of moving to the UK from Hong Kong.

Please sign-up in advance if you can, so that we can order and make enough food.
If you can no longer make it, please let us know
Suggested donation £5 per adult (£1 per child).  You can donate by card when you sign-up, or on the day via cash or card

Repair Cafe

Do you have something at home which is broken but you don’t quite know how to fix it? Well, the Repair Café may be for you! We have people fixing textiles, small electrical items, bikes and much more!

Do you use Ecover washing up liquid? Would you like to get a refill to avoid getting a new plastic bottle? If you do then come along to the Repair Café and we can sell you a refill. Please bring along your old bottle and we can refill it for you.

Easter

Holy Week

Maundy Thursday 28 March

7.30pm St Michael’s Church -Join us for service of Holy Communion. The Live stream link is here

Good Friday 29 March

All-Age Good Friday service 10.30 am in the Centre – Join us for an interactive journey to the cross. The nature of this service means it will be in-person only (no live stream).

Good Friday Reflective Service 12pm in Church – Join us in Church for our Good Friday Reflective Service with Holy Communion. Stay for as little or as long as you like. Arrive or leave on the quarter-hour. Communion will be at 1.45pm. Live stream link here

Easter Sunday 31 March

  • The Nine o’clock in Church
  • The Ten-thirty in the Centre
  • The Six-Thirty in the Centre

Join in as we celebrate the Good News of the risen Lord Jesus! All services will also be live-streamed.

Lent 2024

Lent began with our Ash Wednesday Communion Service on 14 February at 7.30pm in church.

This lovely service included the opportunity to be signed with the cross in ash, as we began this season of reflection.

Lent Sermon Series

This Lent we are looking at the practice of Fasting, as part of our teaching series, Practicing the Way, where we learn habits to help us become more like Jesus. 

We will be looking at fasting from the following topic headings: 

  • To offer ourselves to Jesus. (See Si’s talk here and Julie’s talk here) 
  • To grow in holiness. (See Ellies’s talk here)
  • To amplify our prayers (See Tom’s talk here)
  • To stand with the poor  (See Chris’s talk here and Trevor’s talk here)

Lent Reading

This year’s recommended Lent reading is “Practicing the Way: Be with Jesus. Become like him. Live as he did: Be with Jesus. Become like him. Do as he did” by John Mark Comer (Available from all good book stores ISBN  0281086672 and currently on offer on Amazon ))

This book was released in January 2024 and complements not only our Lent sermon series on Fasting but other spiritual practices such as Sabbath which we focussed on in 2023.

The Rule of Life podcast is a great alternative if you can’t access the book.
