St Michael’s Church Pre-School & Nursery – Financial Administrator Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Administrator for our Pre-School and Nursery. – (OFSTED – “Good”)
We have a great opportunity for someone who is organised, works easily with numbers and office administration, and preferably has had experience of working in a Nursery environment including liaising with Nursery Education Grant applications to the local authority (useful, but not essential)
The successful applicant will have:

- A commercial / business outlook with familiarity in accounts and finance
Hours: 24 hours per week all year round
Contract Period Permanent
Rate of Pay: £13.15 per hour & 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays pro rata

In a bit more detail, the job role would cover:
- Monthly invoicing of fees to parents
- All communication with parents regarding applications, registration, availability of places
- Forward planning of future children numbers and spaces
- Monthly processing of financial data – income and expenditure – using QuickBooks software
- Assisting with the production of monthly accounts in liaison with treasurer.
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts (in liaison with the Treasurer)
- Using the “FAMLY “software for Nursery Management and communications
- Liaising with South Glos for NEG (Nursery Education Grants) on a termly basis
- Other ad-hoc financial administration throughout the year as required, including Milk Refunds and cash-handling
- Working closely with Nursery Manager and the St Michael’s Church PCC Finance Manager
- Assisting the Nursery Manager in other areas as required
